Literally when it comes to packing, the bestest way to pack is by saving space. I would like to give you a little piece of advice to fold your clothes more efficiently.

Three Layers of your Backpack must look like this –

  1. Heavy Stuff at Bottom
  2. Stuff that leaks goes in plastic bags
  3. Things you’ll need as soon as you arrive at your destination at Top.

This packing Checklist is going to be Flexible, so adjust it according to your specific needs and style. But this should give you a solid base and help you cut out the unnecessary stuff that’s holding you back from keeping the relevant ones.

Let’s start :

  1. Passport and VISA– Make sure your passport and Visa are up to date, so you wouldn’t be turned away or delayed at customs because of an old passport. Keep physical as well as digital copies of your Passport and all your paperwork in case anything is lost.
  2. Phone charger/ Power Bank – Life without Phone is not expected these days, especially when you’re travelling abroad. We all know the feeling when our phone runs out of battery in the middle of the road. So get the Best Fastest charging phone charger and Power Bank if you can just to safeguard yourself in any exceptions.
  3. Clothes (Including PJs) – Remember to take light layers and comfortable clothes. Pack enough clothing to last the duration of your trip. But… Yess!!!! Don’t overpack – It will make things really hard for you to pack the other things.
  4. Footwears – There’s a saying “Shoes are the first thing that people notice first in you, So always wear nice shoes”. I honestly would to dope you on this, to wear bulkiest shoes on airport so that you can save space in your luggage.
  5. Medicines – If you have any medication that you need, do not forget to bring it. This is primarily in reference to medicines that are being prescribed, not to common medicines which can be bought.
  6. First Aid kit – A Standard First Aid kit is a good idea. It  can be a basic kit to save on space, but include some bandages, anesthetic spray and antibiotic gel so that you don’t have to worry in case of injury.
  7. Clothing Accessories –  A good bunch of innerwears, a belt, nice socks, and any other small clothing items you believe you might need. The less you bring the better off you will be in terms of essentials.
  8. Credit Cards – Major brands can be used anywhere; VISA Mastercard, and AMEX. Discover is a flip of a coin. It’s wise to contact your credit card Bank before you depart so they don’t flag your card for fraudulent charges when they see you shopping abroad.
  9. Towel – A good towel or a washcloth are always handy items to have in your bag. They can be very handy in case of any urgency.
  10. Toiletries – A small bag for essentials such as Bar of soap, shampoo, nail clippers, items to shave with, etc. is recommended. Don’t waste space in multiple makeup items. Look for a sturdy bag to hold these and be sure to pick a nice comb in this kit.
  11. Sunglasses – Even in colder Climates, the glare of the sun can pose a threat if you’re operating a rental car. But be cautious for your eyes.
  12. Sleep items – This includes Sleep medication, an eye mask, earplugs, a travel blanket and an inflatable pillow.
  13. A Money Belt – It might not be the most fashionable accessory, money belts have the reputation of being lame and silly. But in case you want more personalized safety to your money, you can consider this.
  14. Locks – Put at least one combination lock in case you’re staying somewhere risky.
  15. Toothbrush and Toothpaste – While they’re available everywhere, but it’s not a bad option to put them in your hand luggage in case you want to freshen up during your journey.
